Connect to Universe

image

Lots of people try to connect to the universe to get more energy into their bodies while they are practicing meditation. That is really a good concept. There is an endless amount of energy that we can get from the universe. But in fact, how many people can really get enough energy from their meditation? Most people, even those who have been practicing meditation for 10 years, 20 years or even longer, only get very little benefit. Why?

It sounds very easy that all you need to do is just calm down, empty your mind, don’t think about anything else, and just connect to the universe. But can you really keep your mind empty for even 1 or 2 minutes? This is the first question. And the second question is, have you opened your energy channel/meridians or other connecting points on your body? If not, how can you really get energy from the universe? I believe you can only get some relaxation from meditation; of course, it helps you make your body feel better, but you are not really getting energy from the universe, only your own energy flows better in your body.

We are living in a very busy world. We think or worry alot in our job and daily living in almost every moment. We are not living in the jungles or mountains with a simple life. Our brain is used to keeping busy. It is very hard to make it completely calm down for a long time. Our body cannot gather enough energy to open certain channel/meridians or some points on the body if we can not completely calm down.

The third question: what can we do to gather enough energy to open the energy channels or some points in our body since we can not completely empty the thoughts in our brain? The answer: we need to keep only one thought instead of a lot of thoughts in our brain and focus the thought on one point or area in our body to control our body’s energy.

That is one of the techniques in Chinese Qigong. When we can calm our mind we can get what we want by further practicing. We can get alot of benefits or ‘super functions’ after one of our energy channels and connecting points is opened.

Five Xing of Energy

image
The five xing refers energy in five different conditions: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Five xing was translated as the five elements, but that is not a correct translation. Wood, fire, earth, metal and water do not mean five different kinds of energies, but it means the energy in five different strength conditions.

For example, in the spring, the energy is getting stronger from winter; we call this energy WOOD. In the summer, the energy is stronger than in the spring and is the strongest condition in a year; so we call it FIRE. In the fall, the energy is getting weaker from its strongest condition, we call it METAL. The energy condition between FIRE and METAL, we call EARTH/SOIL. In the winter, the energy is in a closing/hiding/resting condition, so we call it WATER.

The original meaning of XING is ‘walking’ or ‘moving’; here it means changing while moving.

How to handle more stress

image

What causes us stress? Desire and worry. Why? Because, we will try your best to achieve what we want successfully if we have the desire, and we might have a hard time while we are trying to acquire what we want. Then we will feel stress. Worry is always a sticky problem for almost every person. We might not know what will happen tomorrow. We might be fired, be laid off, get in an accident, lose money, or be sick…who knows? So worry can also give us big stress.

And the stress will cause emotional issues, like sadness, fear, anger, and more. And any emotion issue can make us feel stress. Everyone has stress; the difference is just the intensity and how much stress you can handle. Lots of people believe most diseases come from stress. Is that true?

I believe that stress might cause physical sickness, but physical sickness can also cause emotional issues. Some people can handle more stress than others. Why?

From the theories of traditional Chinese medicine, different kinds of emotion issue might cause different organs to be sick. For example, anger might sicken your liver, sadness might cause your lungs or heart to be sick, and worry or too much thinking might sicken your spleen. That means you cannot handle too much stress if the functions of your organs are not strong enough. From another side, if some organ is sick or the function is weak, then we will be more likely to have certain emotional issues and get stressed. So we can say, we can handle lots of stress if the organs in our body are healthy and the functions are strong. We cannot avoid stress in our real life because we have to face to realities no matter what has happened or will happen; but we can try to overcome the stress, and handle stress more effectively.

Therefore, we need to have a strong body with healthy organs, and then we can handle more stress and will be happier.

There are many methods that can help us to release the stress, but most of them are just for temporary release. Practicing Qi Gong is one of the best ways to release stress and increase our ability to handle more stress. Qi Gong increases the level of our life energy and organ health, providing more energy to make them healthier and stronger. Meanwhile, it’s better to take some treatments to heal the diseases in the organs.
